Renamer

toolskit2.0

The "Renamer" sub-tab is a handy tool that will significantly speed up the process of renaming nodes. With this, you can quickly add nomenclature types in just a few clicks and have the option to replace parts of node names.

In the first section, you can rename all selected objects with a given name and add prefixes or suffixes. The node renaming is adaptive and intelligent. If you select a single node and rename it, it will take the name you've entered. However, if you select multiple nodes, it will add '_0', '_1', '_2', etc., at the end of the name, depending on the number of selected objects. You can choose to include or exclude an underscore in the ToolsKit settings.

Below, you can also find buttons that will provide you with pre-set names.

Next, you will have the ability to use a feature that allows you to select the nodes you specify and combine multiple selections. For instance, this will enable you to select all nodes starting with "my_" and then additionally select all nodes starting with "polyCube",  etc...

For the last section, this tool will allow you to replace a specific element in the names of the selected nodes. For example, if you want to change the word "hand" to "feet", you can do so by simply entering the element you want to search for and the element you want to replace it with.

Then, similar to the function above, there are predefined commands that will help you speed up the process.

In the predefined commands, there will be the option to rearrange the numbering of your groups. By selecting nodes with incorrect numbering, it will be possible to reorder their numbers in hierarchical mode. The "complet 111 222 ..." functionality allows you to renumber all children of a node with the parent's number. Alternatively, if you click on the "complet 1 2 3 ..." functionality, it will increment each child by one, taking the parent's number as the base.
