Picker
toolskit2.0
"Picker" is a tool that allows you to select controllers much more quickly than usual and provides a clear view of all the controllers in a rig.
To create a picker, you simply need to go to the options and press "New Picker". It will prompt you to enter the name you want to give it.
After creating it, a blank window will appear, and inside, you can create your picker.
Firstly, you can right-click to open the menu and choose to enter Edit mode.
This mode allows you to create buttons, add background images, and move all elements as desired.
Once in Edit mode, you can right-click again and choose to import an image to set as the background or take a screenshot of your scene.
To navigate within the interface, you can use the control scroll to zoom or hold down the right-click to move around.
Then, it is possible to create buttons (with right-click on edit mode) that allow you to select the objects or groups you have selected in your scene.
While in edit mode, you can move the buttons by holding down the right-click on the buttons and dragging them to the desired location. Similarly, you can move background images by holding down the middle mouse button and dragging them to where you want.
-
LEFT click : move the view
-
CTRL + middle mouse scroll : zoom

in edit mode:
-
LEFT click on button : move the button
-
middle mouse button : move background picture
After creating the desired buttons, you can return to "picker mode" by right-clicking. Then, if you click on the buttons, you will be able to select the controllers using them.
You have the option to either select everything at once by right-clicking and pressing the "Select all" button,
or to deselect everything by right-clicking and pressing the "Deselect all" button.
You can select the controllers you want by holding down the Shift key while clicking on the buttons to add the objects you want to select.
If you return to edit mode, you have the ability to change the name of the button, modify its shape, and adjust its color.
By right-clicking on the button you want to modify
If you like a button style and want to duplicate it, you have several options. You can duplicate only the style by giving it a selection, so select a controller and duplicate the button. Alternatively, you can duplicate the entire button and create a duplicate if desired.
Because if you don't save, everything you've done won't be saved. Every minor modification you make, whether it's the button positions, names, or selections, needs to be saved.
Picker works with namespaces. This means you can choose the same namespace that you want so that the picker can select the controllers even if there is a space.
Caution: if you click on "Delete picker" in the options menu, you will delete the picker that is currently selected from the toolkit. If you want to close it but still have it saved in the toolkit, you must go to "Edit picker" and click on "Close picker." This will close the picker that is currently selected.
